History: The Welsh Foxhound is an ancient race probably descended from the extinct Celtic Hound and the old Staghound. Hunts kept celebrated packs pure Welsh Foxhounds for nearly two hundred years, often naming their favorites Llangibby, Neuadd-Fawr, Ynysfor and Gelligaer.
