Kindred Spirits Papillons

Ethical and knowledgeable breeder of nine generations of top quality Papillons. Socialized, intelligent, Papillons bred to the breed standard. Puppies are placed on an adoption contract that requires neutering and is designed to protect the puppy. We believe no puppy should be placed under a plane and crate shipped to a new home. We will get on the plane and hand deliver a puppy to an approved home. We meet everyone that adopts one of our puppies. References from puppy owners available upon request. Papillons are not kennel dogs and all of our dogs live in the house and sleep on the couch. We place our puppies like children and expect to be a part of the dogs' life and communicate with our puppy owners several times a year. We send home a complete instruction kit with each puppy including information on the treatment of Papillons for the veterinarian. All our breeding stock is screened for genetic disease. We specialize in Sable and Tricolor Papillons four to eight pounds when grown.

Kindred Spirits Papillons, Indiana This is our only breed. We think being a breeder or a dog fancier is a very serious commitment. You should know who your breeder is before you select a puppy. This is a breed that is still wonderful because of a small group of dog fanciers that kept this breed alive and have protected it from exploitation for generations. They did this through war, and famine and all kinds of hardship because they loved this breed. This breed is at the greatest danger it has yet faced due to popularity and exploitation. We do not place any puppy with breeding rights. You should know there are 100 puppymills or backyard breeders for every reputable breeder on line. Most states do not have more than two devoted Papillon breeders. Learn to tell the difference. Do your research, have a list of questions. It is the job of a dog fancier to be an expert in their breed. They must know and understand research, genetics, animal behavior, nutrition, our breed standard, genetic disease, special veterinary needs in the treatment of Papillons. They must love these dogs and care what happens to the breed 20 years from now. They must have ethics. This is a love to which you devote your life. One of the best sources of breed information is The Papillon Club of America.
