Kool Alaskan Malamutes

Kool Alaskan Malamutes specializes in GIANT and WOOLY Malamutes with great temperaments from a reputable breeder. Our puppies are $300-$1500. We have some of the tallest, largest, and healthiest Alaskan Malamutes in the US. We also have a 3 year genetic guarantee which also includes mild hip dysplasia, whereas most other breeders have only a 1 year genetic guarantee and that only covering crippling hip dysplasia. Genetic problems can show up to the age of 3 years and mild hip dysplasia will turn into crippling hip dysplasia at some point, therefore making a one year genetic guarantee, especially for crippling hip dysplasia only, worthless. Our puppies are well socialized by four children/teens. References are available upon request. Please call for details. We are OFA certified and utilized and AKC affiliated. We are also members of the Better Business Bureau of Western Michigan.

Our Policies
We care about our puppies. This is why we have the following policies.
Kool Alaskan Malamutes, Michigan

  1. Our puppies are being sold with a limited registration and are not allowed to be bred.
  2. Our female puppies must be spayed by 7 months. Our male puppies must be neutered between 12-24 months old which will be determined by the size that the male puppy is expected to be by Kool Alaskan Malamutes when he is fully grown. The age/date to be neutered/spayed by will be written on the genetic guarantee given to the puppy buyer. Neutering before the age on the genetic guarantee is fine. Neutering by the age of 6 months gives the greatest behavior changes, however. The general health and genetic guarantees will not be valid unless the puppies are neutered/spayed by the specified ages. Please click here to read our genetic guarantee.
  3. Vet recommendations for proper general health must be followed in order for our general health guarantee to be valid. Please click here to read our general health guarantee.
  4. Our puppies must be on large-breed puppy food from the time they leave us until around the date specified on our genetic guarantee. Please click here to read our genetic guarantee.
  5. Each buyer of our puppies must have proof that their puppy is on large-breed puppy food by cutting out the large-breed labels on the puppy food and saving them.
  6. The following needs to be sent to us by the time the female puppy is 12 months old and by the time that the male puppy is the age specified on the Puppy Chart in the folder we give to you (will be between 14-26 months old) for our two guarantees to be valid:
a.) A vet-signed copy of the neuter/spay certificate with a vet stamp on it AND receipt.
b.) A copy of the vet receipts for the last puppy shot, rabies shot, and for the ESSENTIAL heartworm preventative given each month that you received your puppy until you send us all of the required info stated in these policies.
c.) Several current pictures with all of the family members included in at least one picture.
d.) A brief note stating the weight of the dog, what his/her temperament and personality is like, and how it has been going with the dog in his/her new household.
e.) As many large-breed puppy food labels that are saved to the date of turning in all of the above. Kool Alaskan Malamutes, Michigan
  7. Each buyer of our puppies must give us the FIRST opportunity to find their puppy/dog a new home if they find for any reason that they cannot keep him/her, unless we mutually work out a different agreement (which will include the name, address, email address, and phone number of the new owner). We need to hear right away, however, that you need to find your puppy/dog a new home because we do not have anywhere here to have the dog. We will only help find a new home. OUR TWO GUARANTEES ARE NOT VALID IF THE PUPPY/DOG CHANGES HOMES WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF JIM AND PAT KOOL.
  8. The new owner of our puppy/puppies agrees to give a heartworm preventative monthly to the puppy and each dog that they own for the months of the year that their vet clinic recommends according to the area that they live in, but at least April through December for the colder states and year round for the warmer states for the entire life of each dog.
  9. The AKC form for an AKC purebred puppy will be sent to the new owner after he/she fulfills policy #6.
